Goldfinger Eyeshadow Kaleidoscope by Le Métier de Beauté

The Beauty Vault VIP subscription program from Le Métier de Beauté (LMdB) continues to be stellar this year, with not a single misstep yet.  The October entry was a gorgeous eyeshadow kaleidoscope called Goldfinger:

Gunmetal

My initial impression when I saw the colors together was "hmroo?", but somehow they work, especially when layered.  That's the genius of LMdB's shadows, as they take on a beautiful complexity when combined together.  For instance, Golden Function and Violet File produce the most ethereal soft champagne taupe.  I don't know how LMdB does it, but it's stunning.

Below are some other layering combos.  Golden Function + Gunmetal gives the best antique gold, just so pretty!

Eye kaleidoscopes are pricey at $95, but I'm a solid convert after having tried several via the VIP subscription.  The quality of the shadows is great, and the layering combos take you far beyond the four shadow pans.   I'll be signing up for a third year of the program when the time comes, no doubt!
