Touch of Rose Cream Blush by The All Natural Face

Touch of Rose is the only shimmer out of the The All Natural Face cream blushes that I've tried so far.  A medium, warm leaning rose with silver shimmer, Touch of Rose gives a nice glimmer to face and lips without veering too far into frostiness.

I was so eager to use it that I didn't get pictures of the compact in it's pristine, unused state - sorry about that.  These are small compacts and the blush itself is about the size of a silver dollar, but I find a few dabs on each cheek is plenty, which I then blend out with my blush brush.

I can see more shimmer in the powder version than in the cream version on my skin, but on my lips the shimmer is quite evident.  You can especially see it in my lip lines.  A gloss on top will smooth things out nicely and adds shine, however.

As the name of the company would imply, The All Natural Face uses natural ingredients and the vegan cream blushes contain organic jojoba oil, organic argan oil, candelilia wax, mica, titanium dioxide, boron nitride,  and oxides.  The cream blushes are $5.75 each and come in 27 different colors, although I find the color range tends towards warmer, earth toned shades in general.

Terra Cotta Cream Blush by The All Natural Face

Terra Cotta cream blush by The All Natural Face is the color of baked clay - hence the name.  I personally love orange leaning colors, and I find Terra Cotta very wearable on my warmer complexion tone.

Terra Cotta can be worn sheer or built up for more color, as the texture of the cream blush is lovely to work with.  I apply with my fingers and then use my blush brush to buff it out.  I don't find them patchy at all, and the finish is very natural looking.  The cream blushes can also be worn as a lip tint, although they need a gloss on top or they will look rather dry.

I thought the cream and powder versions of Terra Cotta looked the same when swatched, so it really depends on what kind of formula you prefer.  The cream blushes wear surprisingly well on my oily skin, so I've been using them a lot this summer.

The size of the blush is about that of a silver dollar, but a little goes a long way so I can see these lasting for quite a while.  Fortunately, the formula does not contain water, which gives these a longer shelf life.  Featuring a simple and natural ingredient list of organic jojoba oil, organic argan oil, candelilia wax, mica, titanium dioxide, boron nitride, and oxides, these are a steal at $5.75 each!

Peachy Rose Cream Blush from The All Natural Face

I thought I had reviewed Peachy Rose already, so when I got another one in my June Eco Emi box, I was going to link to it.  I was wrong, but it did remind me to do one, so here it is!  Peachy Rose leans more peach than rose, and falls within the warmer spectrum of colors.

This was one of The All Natural Face blushes that I found looked equally well in either the cream or the powder version.  Usually I like the cream finish more, as it looks more natural, but in these swatches I think the powder looks just as nice.

The All Natural Face Cream blushes can be used on the lips as well, although I think they need a clear gloss on top or they look dry.  I'm wearing no gloss in the picture below.

The cream blushes by The All Natural Face are a very reasonable $5.75 each, and feature a simple and all natural ingredient list of:  Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Candelilia Wax, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Oxides.  I've also reviewed Really Red, Everyday is a Good Day, and Bubblegum, which completes the original four colors that I purchased.  I've since acquired Terra Cotta, Touch of Rose, Persimmon, and Bourdeaux, so expect to see reviews of those at some point.  These cream blushes wear really well on my oily skin, and if it is not obvious to you by now, I'm a fan:-)

Really Red Cream Blush by The All Natural Face

Really Red is the third of the four cream blushes that I originally bought from The All Natural Face.  It's a warm, dark red that looks a bit intimidating in the pan, but because these apply sheerly and can be built up to your desired intensity level, it was not hard to work with at all.  Composed of organic jojoba oil, organic argan oil, candelilla wax, mica, titanium dioxide, boron nitride, and oxides,  it was hot out when these were shipped, so the clear liquid you see on the rim are the oils that seeped out. 

I've never worn Really Red's powder counterpart because I assumed it would be too dark for my complexion.  When I did the arm swatches, I found that the powder does apply with more intense color, although I'm sure using a lighter touch would result in a more delicate wash of color.  However, I did notice that the powder blush magnified skin irregularities more than the cream blush did, making it less forgiving.

I like these cream blushes so much that I've since bought another four, and when choosing those colors, it struck me that the majority of blush colors carried by The All Natural Face seem to fall on the warmer side of the color spectrum.  I'd like to see a better selection of pink and coral shades, but beyond that, I'm really impressed with these.  They can be used as lip tints as well, although you will need some clear gloss on top as they feel and look a bit dry on the lips.

Reasonably priced at $$5.75, I'm really happy I checked these out!  I also read that these should have a relatively long shelf life even though they are preservative free, as they contain no water.  So, the part of me that likes to collect and try new colors doesn't have to worry about these going bad anytime soon :-)

Woodstock 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil by Urban Decay and Tropical ETOD

Woodstock as an eye color perplexed me when I first saw swatches online.  Would it make me look like I have pink eye?  Consequently, it was not one of the Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencils on my list to acquire.  Enter the eye pencil vault that I purchased in April, and now I have the luxury of trying colors I never would have otherwise!

Woodstock is a hot fuschia pink with silver sparkles.  It looks like it leans more warm than cool to me, as there is a bit of a red tone in there.  The word I associate with it is  "flamenco", for some reason.

I decided to attempt a tropical eye using salmon pink, orange, and fuschia pink/purple shadows from Bare Minerals and The All Natural Face with Woodstock on my upper and lower lash lines.  

 It came out better than I was expecting - I like it!

Everyday is a Good Day Cream Blush by The All Natural Face

I don't know if the beautiful weather we had Memorial Day weekend was the influence or not, but I wore Everyday is a Good Day and enjoyed every minute of that gorgeous weekend. 

Everyday is a Good Day is a warm peachy orange that was much more subtle and natural looking on than it looks like here in the pan.  I apply a few dabs of the blush with my finger and then blend out using a stippling brush.  I'm not sure what I expected with these cream blushes from The All Natural Face, but the two I've tried thus far wear really well, with color lasting throughout the day.  I can see some fading towards the end of the day, but my makeup has usually started breaking up by that point due to the oiliness of my skin.

I found the cream and powder versions of Everyday is a Good Day to be very close to each other in color.  I'm liking the finish of the cream blush over the powder, as it looks slightly dewy without being shiny, whereas the matte texture of the powder blush does not look quite as natural.  An easy way to get more intense color and longer wear, however,  is to apply the powder over the cream, which is what you see below.  I'm also wearing Everyday is a Good Day on my lips, although I don't care for these as a lip balm on their own, as I find them a bit dry.  A bit of gloss on top makes them more wearable.

I'm really, really liking the cream blushes from The All Natural Face!  I've got two more from my first order to show you, and four more on the way.  They retail for $5.75 each and I took advantage of a sale where they were $4.  I love that they are all natural with good for your skin ingredients:  organic jojoba oil, organic argan oil, candelilia wax, mica, titanium dioxide, boron nitride, and oxides.

The All Natural Face Lip Glosses in Peppermint Stick, Copper Kisses, & Sassy Cherry

I've accumulated 3 glosses from The All Natural Face (TANF), so I thought it was time to do a review on them.  If you are not familiar with TANF, they make vegan cosmetics and bath and body products that are very reasonably priced.  I've become a fan of a lot of their products, but one of the biggest criticisms I've seen online and I've got to say is rather accurate, is that their online color photos and swatches are, um, not very helpful.  So, I'm slowly working my way through products I have to help add to the rather sparse swatches available online.  Hopefully they will help others in their shopping selections.

Peppermint Stick, Copper Kisses, Sassy Cherry

First off, TANF glosses are not my favorite.  They are thinner than I care for and last less than an hour on my lips.  However, if you hate sticky glosses, these may just be your cup of tea, as they are not sticky AT ALL.  Hence their lack of wear time, however.  On the plus side, they do not dry out my lips and I find them comfortable to wear for as long as they do last.  The ingredient list is quite simple:  Cold pressed castor oil, Candelillia wax, Mica, Oxide.  Peppermint Stick also contains peppermint essential oil and stevia, which makes it smell and taste quite nice.  I can't detect any smell or taste in the others.

These are sheer glosses that provide a bit of color with shimmer.  Sassy Cherry has the least amount of shimmer, but you can detect a bit in the tube.  I'm thinking I might use these more as a layering gloss over a creamy lipstick or perhaps my OCC lip tars, as the two combined may solve the short wear time.  TANF lip glosses are $4.60 each, and I got two of mine as part of my Eco Emi subscription box and purchased the other from TANF on sale for $3.25.  I'd like to see a bit more lasting power before I'd invest in any more.

The All Natural Face Bubblegum Cream Blush: Review, Swatches and Comparison

The All Natural Face now has cream blush versions of all 27 of their powder blushes, and I recently bought 4 to try out:  Bubblegum, Peachy Rose, Everyday is a Good Day, and Really Red.  Today I've got Bubblegum for you.

Bubblegum

Bubblegum is medium pink that really does capture the tone of pink bubblegum.  I wanted to compare the cream version to the powder version of Bubblegum to see how similar they are.  The cream version packs more of a color punch, although you can control the amount of color quite easily.  The powder is more sheer and has sparkle, and I found it more difficult to build up color.

The finish of the cream blush is more dewy, although nothing that veers into greasiness.  The texture is actually quite lovely and natural looking.  It spreads nicely and I had no issues with patchiness or settling into pores.  The powder version is more matte, and surprisingly, I liked the finish of the cream better.

What really got interesting is when I layered the powder over the cream, as there is a very slight blue tint that was evident at certain angles, plus the color was punched up some more.

To apply, I've been using my fingers to lightly dot along my cheek bone and then blending with a stipling bush.  The all natural formula is organic jojoba oil, organic argan oil, candelilia wax, mica, titanium dioxide, boron nitride, and oxides.  It's hot here in Mobile now, and some of the oils collected the rim of the container during shipping.  It didn't seem to affect the blush, but something to be aware of if you live in a hot climate.  The cream blushes are lip safe as well, although I find them a bit dry for that purpose.  I'm wearing Bubblegum on my cheeks and lips below.

Here you can see how Bubblegum is a bit rough looking alone on my lips, although it looks much better with a bit of gloss on top.
