Maybelline Waves of White Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow

Maybelline has released some limited edition Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows for spring/summer, and they finally arrived at my Rite Aid.  Having already seen quite a few blog posts on these, I knew that the two I wanted were the duochrome Waves of White and Seashore Frost.  Today I've got Waves of White to show you.
Who doesn't love a good duochrome?   Waves of White is a cream base with an aqua shift.  If you enlarge the picture above by clicking on it you can better see the aqua shimmer - so pretty!  On it's own, Waves of White works well as a base shadow or highlighter.  However, when layered over black, it becomes an intense turquoise blue shimmer that is quite fetching.
The consistency of this batch of Color Tattoo's is thinner and more slippery in texture than previous Color Tattoo shadows.  Since I was using Waves of White more as a base shadow and highlighter, that wasn't an issue.  If you are planning on wearing this alone, building the color in thin layers and letting each layer dry before applying more would be the way to go to avoid patchiness.
When trying to decide how to wear Waves of White, I pulled out my Urban Decay Glinda eyeshadow palette.  Glinda has two duochrome shadows in it called Aura, and the blue side may be a powder dupe for Waves of White.  I'm going to have to swatch them side by side so I can see.
I used Waves of White as a base shadow, on my inner eyes, and over Tarte's skinny smoulderEYES Amazonian clay waterproof liner in Onyx.  See how it looks turquoise?  I also used Illusion, South, and the blue side of Aura for the look above.  Anyone tried the new Color Tattoo's yet?

Disclaimer:  I purchased this.
