Desert Blossom Blush Impériale by Edward Bess

Having heard such nice things about the line, I decided to take advantage of a recent sale Gilt had and purchase my first Edward Bess blush.  Desert Blossom is a dusty rose matte blush that gives a very natural looking pink flush.  It is finely milled and applies smoothly with practically no dust kickup to speak of.

"Classic beauty never goes out of style." - Edward Bess.   Well he should know, cause dang if Edward Bess himself is not a classic beauty.   I'd be jealous if it were in my nature, but it's not.  You gotta admire beauty in all it's forms has always been my motto:-)  You've also got to admire someone who starts a successful makeup line in their 20's.

Desert Blossom, while matte in finish, does not suffer from a flat or chalky finish.  It enhances skin while still looking barely there.  Color can be built up, but I like the sheer and subtle flush it provides. 

Blush Impériale blushes apparently cost $48 when they were first released and were available at only a few select locations, but Edward Bess is now at Sephora and Desert Blossom is available for $42.  I'm going to say I think Blush Impériale has been discontinued in favor of the new Blush Extraordinaire line, although I'm not sure what the differences are formula wise.  Desert Blossom sold out on Gilt, where it was priced at $25.
