I primarily use bar soaps to wash my hands after I've applied makeup, but occasionally I'll come across one that I really like for facial use, and the Detox Charcoal Soap makes that cut. Infused with bamboo charcoal, this soap is ideal for oily and acne prone skin, as it helps to detoxify and remove impurities.
It also has antiseptic qualities as well as a lovely aroma from peppermint and tea tree essential oil. I'm a proponent of the benefits of aromatherapy - or perhaps I just like things that smell good, and this smells really good to me!
I use the soap with my Clarisonic and find that it cleanses without stripping my oily skin. I do have several cleansers on rotation so the Detox bar probably gets used 3-4 times per week. A little goes a long way, as I just have to rub the brush head against the soap a few times and it produces a rich lather. The soap retails for $9, and can be purchased directly from Theraganics. I received mine in one of my Eco Emi subscription boxes, and out of all the soaps I've sampled via that subscription, this is my favorite!

Alert! DHC Q10 Facial Film Soap Being Discontinued
I'm guessing a lot of people may not even know these exist, but the Q10 Facial Film Soap is being discontinued and is currently half off at DHC. I personally think these are an ingenious concept, as the single use packets are perfect for travel or gym use. Since they are not a liquid, there are no restrictions for carry on in air travel, plus you can tuck a few into your purse for anytime use.

As described at DHC:
"Forty individually wrapped sheets of gentle facial cleanser deliver the age-fighting benefits of antioxidant coenzyme Q10, plus total convenience. Just peel away the packaging, place a sheet in your hand, and add water. The rich lather helps remove impurities without stripping your skin of vital moisture. Keep some in your purse, store some in your desk, stash some in your gym bag, and use them when you’re traveling."These are currently on sale for $6, (I paid $7.20 last week, so the price continues to fall) and I picked up 2 boxes to keep on hand for future trips. I'm curious as to why these are being discontinued, as they had a 5 star rating in the DHC reviews section and seemed very popular! Many are voicing their displeasure in recent comments, and I do find it perplexing. Why you do this to me, DHC?

DHC Coenzyme Q10 Facial Film Soap
Q10 Facial Film Soap is one of the more unique yet practical products that I've discovered from DHC. I personally like using soap as a facial cleanser and have had good experiences with soaps from DHC, but I don't like taking bars of soap with me when I travel. These individually wrapped sheets of facial soap are perfect for travel, the gym, or anyplace you might need a quick clean up. This soap contains coenzyme Q10, an antioxidant our bodies produce, although at a decreasing rate as we age. Antioxidants fight free radicals, and since free radicals contribute to the aging process, we want those antioxidants that can fight them. I love the sound of this, but coenzyme Q10 has to be present in sufficient quantities and in a form that can penetrate the skin in order to be effective. I have no way of knowing if the Q10 in this soap meets that criteria, but it does clean effectively without stripping my skin, so this plus the travel convenience factor makes it a winner to me.

These come 40 to a box are are currently on sale for $8.25 at DHC through March 31. This was a sample contained in DHC's March catalog and while I have purchased these in the past, I'm currently out. I've got a trip coming up in March so may need to restock!
