On the positive side, these are definitely waterproof as it took soap in addition to water to get them off. They work well as liners, and the metallic ones like Torch and Slingshot could work as shadows, as they applied smoothly. However, I found the other shades to be somewhat patchy. On the negative side, these do not smudge. They just don't, as the above left picture demonstrates. It's not the fault of the brush, which is dense enough to smudge out these pencils if they were amenable. But they're not. Here is Stiletto after about 5 hours of wear. This is under fluorescent
lighting, so not the best photos, but you can still get an idea of how
they work as liners. If the shadow and smudge feature isn't
there, these are really nothing unique and not as good as other pencils
of comparable price, such as Urban Decay's 24/7 eye pencils.
Buxom Waterproof Smoky Eye Sticks are available exclusively at Sephora, if you decide you would like to indulge.
