I had a pretty decent showing of used items during June, which is quite satisfying. Let's take a look!
davines Love conditioner (foil sample): this is marketed for frizzy or wavy hair, but it worked well with my straight and fine hair. What I really loved was the scent with it's citrus and green notes. My hair is just getting long enough that I could smell it when I was at the beach a few weeks back, and I was smitten. I would buy it for that alone.
Hask Macadamia Oil Moisturizing Shampoo (full size): an inexpensive shampoo that is gentle yet still gets the job done. Free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, alcohol, and artificial colors. I would definitely repurchase, and Ulta frequently has Hask BOGO offers.
Arvazallia Advanced Color Care Moisturizing Shampoo (full size): I've enjoyed all of the Arvazallia hair care products I've tried, including this shampoo for color treated hair. However, Hask has my heart now, so I won't be repurchasing this.
Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle (deluxe sample): another hair favorite, this is at least the second deluxe sized sample size I've finished. Love the scent and how it does help detangle my color treated hair. I would purchase if I didn't have such a backlog of hair care products to get through.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Perfector SPF25 (full size): I found this when going through items I was going to include in my Project Pan, but it was actually already empty. You can read my original review here, but bottom line I really like it and would repurchase. It's hard to find good eye products with SPF!
Teadora samples: Full review here, where I detail my impressions of all of the samples. I did purchase a full sized oil but ending up sending it back after discovering some less expensive oil blends.
Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner (sample): I purchased the Memebox Benton box and this was one of the samples included. I'll be reviewing the Benton Snail Bee line in August, as that will give me solid 2 months of use. I enjoyed this sample but would not purchase, as I've got plenty of toner on hand right now.
Clarins Tonic Treatment Oil (sample): Good stuff, full review here. Will not be purchasing, as I'm set on body oils right now.
W3LL People Bio Correct Multi-Action Concealer (sample): Broke my skin out, so will not be purchasing. Full review here.
Savannah Bee Royal Jelly Body Butters in Original and Sensitive Skin (full size): Loved these, and have almost repurchased several times. I just can't justify it right now as I'm swimming in body butters....but in the future? Sure, and my full review is here.
Hada Labo Hydrating Facial Cleanser (full size): In my quest for low pH cleansers, Hada Labo was one of the first I tried. It's gentle but effective and I use it as a second cleanser after removing my makeup with a cleansing oil, or as my only cleanser in the mornings. I've got a second one on hand already, as I believe there was a BOGO offer when I purchased these from Ulta.
Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant in Pure Vanilla (sample size): I wear natural deodorants exclusively, but this one didn't really didn't really stand out to me. I prefer Bubble & Bee's Organic Deodorant Creams (review here).
Andalou Naturals DIY Booster SPF 30 Facial Serum (full size): Cannot say enough good things about this SPF. It works fabulously with my oil skin plus it has loads of skin loving ingredients (full review here). I'm already on my second bottle and I see this as a long standing love affair.
nooni Sprout Smoothing Toner (sample): I've got an upcoming full review, so I'll keep this short. I like it.
Asian sheet masks (variety): I used 9 sheets masks in June, with a few standouts and 2 that were definitely sub-par. The two Tosowoong masks were standouts and I'm happy to find a brand I'll revisit in the future.
Sub-par masks: Definitely the visually pleasing but dry as a bone Urban Dollkiss masks. I'm still using them, however, as some nights I don't want to sit for 30 minutes with a mask on my face, and these seem to dry in about 10 minutes.
More foil samples:
Dr. Andrew Weil Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Eye Serum (foil sample): This gel serum didn't make much of an impression on me one way or the other.
Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation in Nude (foil sample): I used this on my weekend trip to the beach and it reminded me of how nice it is. Not in the market for a new foundation, however.
CosRX Advanced Snail Mucin Power Snail Essence (foil sample): I'm a fan, full review here.
Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum (foil sample): Couldn't really form an impression based on the few uses I got from the foil.
Woohoo, quite a good month for empties!
