Dollskin Cheek Palette by Tarina Tarantino Review and Swatches

I've had my eye on the Dollskin Cheek Palette for quite some time, so the recent Sephora VIB 15% off sale seemed the perfect time to stop admiring from afar and take the plunge.  I'm glad I did, these are some lovely blushes!

First off, the packaging is top notch.  The case itself has a nice design and heft to it.  It's larger than I would want to carry around, but not so large as to be unwieldy.  The mirror in the top is big enough to apply makeup with if needed.  The four blushes in the palette are (from left to right, clockwise) Feather, Parasol, Candy Cameo, and Carved Rose. 

Feather, a peach with slight shimmer, is the lightest and warmest in tone of the four. 

Parasol is a pinky peach with a finely milled gold shimmer.  No obvious glitter chunks here, which is much appreciated.

Candy Cameo is a vibrant blue based pink with shimmer and the only shade exclusive to the palette.  All of the others were originally available individually, although I do not currently see them on Sephora.com.  Perhaps that's due to the site's revamp, as I've seen some comments on blogs that full selection of items does not seem to be available yet.  Hmmm.

Carved Rose is a matte Barbie pink.  I love that I can wear all four shades, although I tend to veer more towards corals then pinks.  However, all four are wearable, as they don't lean too cool or too warm. 

A little goes a long way here.  I find I just have to lightly swirl my brush on the blushes to pick up the pigment.  These are paraben free, finely milled (micronized powders, actually) and blend out easily for natural looking color.  I can see these lasting a long time before hitting pan.
