Coastal Scents Revealed Palette Sampler: Review and Swatches

I've been curious about the eyeshadows from companies like Coastal Scents, but have never purchased any as I'm in eyeshadow overload as it is.  However, I was excited to receive the Revealed palette sampler in my January Birchbox, as this particular palette is a near dupe for both the Naked 1 and 2 palettes from Urban Decay.
Obviously, my little 4 pan sampler is just a fraction of the shadows available in the full sized 20 pan palette, but they should give me an idea as to the formula and quality.
Well, color me impressed!  The four I tested are richly pigmented, smooth, easy to blend, and wear well.   Factor in the $19.95 Revealed palette price and compare that to the $104 you would be spending for Naked 1 and 2, and I can see the appeal.
OTOH, is there anyone on the planet who hasn't sprung for the Naked palettes yet?  I've only got Naked 1 myself, but that in and of itself will keep me from getting the full Revealed palette, as I'm not particularly hankering for the colors in Naked 2.
I do reserve the right to change my mind, however, and I'm glad I got to try these!

  2. they look lovely and seem like such a bargain! I wasn't too impressed with my 88 pan palette, but maybe this will be a better value!

    1. Those 88 pan palettes overwhelm me! I think my other hesitancy is the whole"made in China" thing, but almost everything seems to be made in China these days, so I may have to get over that. At some point.

  3. I bought the Revealed pallette when it first came out & they had a half price sell on it. I haven't even used it as of yet, so I'm glad to see some swatches of it. I wish they'd come out with a dupe for the Naked 3 pallette. I really want that one but I hate paying that much for it.

    1. I'd love to see a dupe for Naked 3 as well! I wouldn't be surprised if they do come out with one, given how popular it's been.
